Hello!
As a passionate and driven individual, I've always been drawn to the field of veterinary medicine. With a strong academic record and as a member of the Spanish Honor Society, I've made the most of my time in school while pursuing a rigorous medicine track curriculum.
Outside of the classroom, I've trained as an athlete for 30 hours a week as a competing gymnast for 13 years, and earned two Texas State champion medals in Vault and Beam. Currently, I am a member of the Legacy Christian Academy Track and Field team, competing in Discus and Shotput. My experiences have taught me valuable lessons about discipline, perseverance, and teamwork - skills that have also served me well in my musical pursuits.
As a multi-instrumentalist, and a member of the Marching and Concert Band, I've had the privilege of contributing to our band's state championship win in 2023. Additionally, I competed individually and won 3 consecutive years (including Honors from the Music Educators Association, Honors Region Band, and TPSMEA).
But it's not just about achievements - it's about making a difference. That's why I'm proud to have been recognized by faculty for my leadership potential through Honors Council membership and as founder of the Bridge Builders Club. This organization is dedicated to tackling real-world issues through actionable projects that drive positive change.
Most recently, I was selected as a 2024 scholar to participate in WorldStrides Veterinary Academy, where I worked at Costa Rica's animal rescue center and earned 40 Veterinarian Credit Hours.
As I prepare for college, I'm excited that my senior year will include a Capstone project. This project is a part of the medicine track curriculum and will allow me to shadow a local veterinarian, beginning Fall through Spring, two days a week. I'm most looking forward to sharing my newfound knowledge and experiences with others through volunteering and making a positive impact in my community. I feel grateful for this new chapter in my life that is quickly approaching and can't wait to see what it brings!
